With urban design led by Mayer/Reed, our joint venture (ZGF-VIA-Mayer/Reed) developed a Conceptual Design Report and 30% plans for a light rail line that will connect downtown Portland to Tualatin. In collaboration with numerous agencies and jurisdictions and with robust public input, the team established urban design along an 11-mile alignment including roadway, bicycle and pedestrian improvements. The report illustrates the vision with conceptual designs for key corridor improvements such as stations and platforms, wall treatments, overhead structures, stormwater features, trackway alignment design and type, operations facilities, urban design elements and mobility hubs. It documents opportunities and identifies challenges to be addressed in the next phase of design.
