Meet Our Newest Designers
Laura Hartzell, ASLA believes that creating a healthy relationship between humans and our environment is a critical imperative of our time. With over a decade of experience in landscape architecture and urban open space, she approaches design with a curious and thoughtful energy. Laura joined Mayer/Reed’s landscape architecture and urban design group as a project manager and is currently working on the North Portland Aquatic Center and the Clean Water Services RIPL lab.
Lucy Angell is a junior graphic designer and studio assistant. She provides design support on visual communications projects and helps foster M/R studio culture. A recent graduate of Philadelphia’s University of the Arts, she was drawn to Mayer/Reed’s work on transit design and public spaces.
Bruno Sunago, ASLA joined Mayer/Reed as a landscape designer. His experience living in Tokyo, Las Vegas and now Portland, Oregon has shaped his unique perspective on the relationship between urban design and natural spaces. His current projects include TriMet’s Hollywood Transit Center and the adjacent transit-oriented development, Hollywood Hub.
Meet Our Newest Team Members
Sara Van Dyke, SEGD joined our visual communications team as a senior experiential graphic designer with a background in branded environments and wayfinding. Her current projects include Prometheus Real Estate Group properties, Port of Vancouver Terminal 1 Tenant Sign Standards and the Deschutes Public Library wayfinding system (Bend, OR).
Taylor Bowden, ASLA is a landscape designer with a focus on equitable outdoor spaces. Her current work includes the Beaverton Parks Framework Plan (Beaverton, OR), Frog Pond Primary School (Wilsonville, OR) and the Street Plaza Program (Portland, OR). Active in the design community, Taylor serves as Vice President of Chapter Services for Oregon ASLA.
Mayer/Reed welcomes IT specialist, Charlie Watts as an indispensable member of the studio. Recently relocated from Minnesota, Charlie is a collaborative and proactive problem solver who works to ensure our firm’s excellence in technology and digital security.
