Just three miles outside of downtown Portland, Amaterra Winery provides a unique wine-tasting and dining experience in the West Hills. Inside the building, state-of-the-art gravity flow wine-making facilities take advantage of the sloped topography. Outdoors, Mayer/Reed designed a welcoming entry garden and a gracious event terrace with a stunning panorama toward the vineyards, the Tualatin Valley and Coast Range. A boardwalk leads to a shaded deck tucked into woodlands. Knit into the adjacent forest, a cascading water feature flanks the terrace.
