Mayer/Reed was retained by Legacy Health to design site signage standards for their five campuses, starting with Emanuel Medical Center and the new Randall Children’s Hospital. The firm developed wayfinding strategies to accommodate future campus growth and to create a consistent message nomenclature that reduces sign content overload. Implementation integrates the new corporate graphic identity standards and includes campus gateway features to create a welcoming first impression.
Simplifying what was once a long list of destinations, vehicular directional signs at the campus perimeter now direct visitors to three primary destinations — hospital, emergency and medical office. Within the campus, the signage identifies more specific destinations.
